The PA color browser is a tool for browsing and analysing pixel art, with a focus on colors. It was created by Marinus van den Oever and myself, as a project to learn UI design, ReactJS and MongoDB.

Currently the site is offline, but you can see how it was used here:

The data came from pixeljoint.com and was scraped and analysed with our own python scripts.

In the process of creating the database we also output some interesting statistics. For example this graph of the most used colors:

This app may come online again in the future, possibly on wepixel.art.
